This Pyramid, along with most the other buildings we'll show you, is part of the master plan for the new Astana. This building was conceived as a symbol of the 130 different races and nationalities living harmoniously in Kazakhstan. On the lower levels (0-3) there is a very nice opera house. Unfortunately it was too dark to photograph well.
The upper levels have stained glass with doves and the sun.

After the pyramid, the other couples headed to the Bayterek and other sites we had already seen, so we just went back to our apartment to nap, work, and do some laundry. Tomorrow we get to see our girl again!

Whoa. Was the pyramid's architect a Freemason? It looks SO COLD there.
