Friday marked Miranda becoming 11 months old. Like our friend Miss Emma, Miranda still has no teeth, and it really doesn't look like they are coming any time soon. But we're not letting this hold us back from eating more and more table food. We have now master "appetizers" such as Cheerios, rice chex, and graham crackers. Of course we love the sweet fruits as well, bananas, mandarin oranges, pineapple, peaches. She also eats mac n cheese, bean & cheese tacos (we tear it up for her), mashed potatoes, sweet potato fries, green beans, and carrots. She really hasn't turned much of anything down except for some turkey meatballs that I made, and some roasted potatoes, although she ate those the first time they were offered and when we tried again she was not interested. This weekend I am trying to plan meals for the week, but it is still a bit tricky making something that Ben and I will both eat that Miranda can eat as well since she still needs her food much mushier than either of us can stand. But apparently spaghetti works.

Miranda is beautiful. Have you tried just using a blender to blend up whatever you guys are eating? Just a thought.
She has a great food repertoire! You guys are awesome parents, and Miranda's just thriving---teeth or no teeth! : )
Gee, you're doing such a great job! I could sure use someone like you to plan my meals for the week, too...
Miranda is just the luckiest, most blessed child to have such good parents, who also happen to take great pictures and write totally absorbing prose. But then we're just the grandparents. What do we know?! Well, a lot, given our experience. Ben and Rebecca, you two are great. You also happen to have great material to work with. Thank you so much for keeping this blog. It makes us feel very connected.
