Almost sorry I bothered ...
Unlike Rachel and Rob's pleasant evening, my caucus experience made me wonder why I bothered. We had observers from the Obama campaign who didn't agree with the way the sign-in was conducted and kept calling campaign headquarters to report voting irregularities. This was particularly odd since our precinct went two-thirds for Obama. We had Clinton people protesting the presence of the Obama observers since they were not registered voters in our precinct. The actions of the party people actually made me change my caucusing decision. Our caucus president looked to be about 103 and was easily confused. His wife, the secretary, could not do math to figure out the delegate ratio. At the end of the night, the voters in the precinct were satisfied that the outcome was fair and correct, but both sides were threatening to protest so I have no idea if my vote will even be counted.

talk about chaos. i know exactly how you feel. after more than two hours of waiting and much confusion, ben and i decided that our votes canceled each other out anyway, so we went home and ate dinner at 10 pm. being new to the tx caucus, we assumed it would actually involve discussion - silly us! lame to have to wait around and argue with people just to sign your name to a sheet of paper!!!!
