TWO (years) OLD!

Miranda had a jam-packed 2nd birthday. She got to open presents a day early in Del Rio with family and friends who gathered for my brother Josh's wedding.

The morning of her birthday, she got to talk to her Gamma & Gramps in MN on the phone while she opened presents from them. Then, all her toddler friends came over for a play date, pizza, and cake.

After a long nap, Miranda opened presents from Mom and Dad, and her Nana Nia. Have you every seen such joy for a card? It has a big hairy cartoon spider on it which Miranda clearly loves.

Her favorite present was, of course, the pink tricycle. She did try to jam all her other presents into the basket though.

Another round of presents (and cake) was then had when my mom and sisters arrived in the late afternoon. The rocket from Aunt Ginger is the first thing Miranda heads for everyday when she gets home from school.

We took Miranda in for her well-exam today and she is a perfectly normal 2 year old. She's still 50th percentile in height at 34 inches tall and 75th percentile in weight at 28.5lbs. She's also catching up on the speech front with between 200 and 300 words in her vocabulary. Of course she won't say more than 5 in front of anyone except Ben and I, or at school.

Wow. what a sweet, happy looking little girl. She is such a wonderful two year-old. :) Happy birthday, Miranda! And congratulations, Ben and Rebecca, and a clearly fantastic job so far of parenting. :)

Hey, I want a new picture of Miss M!
She's probably grown 2inches in the past month.
